<3 The LoVe of my LiFe <3

The new love of my life is definetly my cat. She is a female Bengal cat, which means she is part Asian Leapord and part domestic. The leapord part is where she gets her gorgeous coat. Pretty cool huh?

Her name is...
~ Zoey~

Zoey came into my life unexpectedly. My initial intention was to give her to someone, but thankfully I changed my mind on that plan at the last minute. My mom was keeping her at the time (still does) and fell in love with her, so when I decided Zoey needed to stay within the family, my mother was all for it! My Dad is in love with her too. It's impossible not to be! Then we offered her to my sister and brother-in-law, but they decided against it as well.

That's when I knew it was meant to be, and that precious little leapord kitten became my Zoey Bella!

Don't get me wrong. She is a wild one, with some cool animalistic characteristics.

Here are some interesting facts about my Bengal cat, Zoey.

- She makes a funny growling noise when she eats.

-They are very vocal cats. She cries for you when she doesn't know where you are.

-She is very hyper and quite the showoff! She will run in circles for 20 minutes straight!

- When she is sleepy, she loves to cuddle and lay on your lap.

-When it is bedtime, you tell her in a gentle voice "It's nighty night time" and amazingly, often fighting the urge, she settles down and closes her eyes.

- She really is THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!

~ Music Makes My World Go 'Round! ~

Sorry it's been so long!

I've decided to start a "My Music of the Week" ritual. (Let's hope I keep it up.) I LOVE music!Sometimes, it's what gets me through the day. I listen to it in the car, while I run, when I'm walking to class, as I'm cleaning, making food, or anything else that just involves me in the action. I love it because it can set the mood, get me focused, and entertain me and my ADD!

I have a problem with listening to songs over and over again. So, I tend to wear out quickly and change up my song lists frequently. There are some songs that I consider timeless and bring them back here and there.

Here is my Top 10 list for the week. Some songs may stay on the list from week to week while others will change. Different songs serve different purposes as I listen to certain ones while I run and others at a much more leisurely pace. Please keep in mind, these are not in any kind of order!

~*~ MuSiC of the WeEk ~*~

1. Love Lockdown by Kanye West

2. Same Mistake by James Blunt

3. If I Were a Boy by Beyonce

4. 18 Days by Saving Abel

5. I'm Outta Time by Oasis

6. What Is Mine by O.A.R.

7. Broken (acoustic) by Seether

8. Goodbye by Saving Abel

9. Ghosts by Ladytron

10. Shattered by O.A.R.

~* ALBUM of the WEEK *~

P.S. I Love You Soundtrack

Please keep in mind... this album is amazing, BUT if you cried

during the movie, you will more than likely find yourself tearing

up with a lump in your throat as you listen to

the songs. Believe me though, it is totally worth it!

One Love,

Jodie

My First Blog!!

I want to start off by saying that I promised myself I would NEVER start blogging. Then my sister got me hooked. I love looking at her blog to see what she's been up to lately. Especially since we live so far away. :(

As for my first official blog, I guess I will tell a little about myself.
I am 21 and a senior at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY!! It is truly amazing here. I came to
OSU on a full 4 year scholarship based off an academic minority status. I guess being Appalachian can help you out! I am majoring in strategic communication (PR and Advertising) with a minor is Studio Art Design (digital imaging).

My true passion was always broadcasting and working in media relations, but the competition is so high that I thought I would never have a chance. Well, God proved me wrong (thankfully) and I received one of the greatest opportunities ever! I am now interning with The Big Ten Network. It has been so much fun already and I'm just getting started! I have attended the Coach Tressel conferences on Tuesday mornings, football player interviews after practices.(I just filmed Beanie Wells and Jim Cordle yesterday, as well as, Brian Hartline, Robiskie, Lawrence Wilson,JAMES LAURINAITIS, and a few others but I can't recall who they were), I've livestreamed soccer games, filmed highlights for field hockey, and will be doing a lot more in the future! I just talked to my boss (he hates that I call him that) and I will be going to the OSU football games for post-game interviews. He even said something about setting up our own corner for one-on-one interviews. How awesome would that be?!?

My lifelong plans are finally coming together, and I just may actually be happy with my career. Life is great!
